    Difficulty Level:
  • August 15, 2013 Excellent collection!

I bought this book only because I wanted the first "Images" book and it seemed like a great deal to buy this collection, as it is not much more expensive than the first "Images" set and it comes with many more songs. I'm not a huge fan of Debussy...

but the songs in this book are beautiful. It's really quite a large book and it's really fun to sit down and play some of these. There is no editor listed so I would assume the pieces are urtext, but Debussy himself did a fine job of clearly marking dynamics and articulations, so that's not an issue. As far as the difficulty goes, I've been playing classical piano for about 10 years and I can sit down and sight-read most of these pieces decently. Overall, it's a great buy and I would recommend it!
