Composed by Heather Cattanach. 20th Century,Children,Contemporary,Instructional. Score. 3 pages. Published by Heather Cattanach (A0.507406).

A fun, bouncy piece reminiscent of Prokofiev, Lynx uses hand crossings and changing time signatures. Intermediate Piano Solo from “88 Constellations” a collection by Heather Cattanach featuring one piece of piano music for each of the 88 constellations (to match the number of keys on a standard piano). Johannes Hevelius was noted for his keen eyesight; when he devised this constellation to fit in the gap between Auriga and Ursa Major he declared one would need the eyes of a lynx to see it, as it is rather faint. On star charts it forms a zig zag line. Performance Time 1 minute. 2 pages. (General Instructional, 20th Century, Modern, Repertoire, Recital).
