When Ptolemy listed it with his 48 constellations in the second century, he imagined the water from the urn of Aquarius pouring into Piscis Austrinus’s mouth. According to one legend, the two fish represented in the zodiacal constellation Pisces are the offspring of this southern fish. From “88 Constellations” a collection by Heather Cattanach featuring one piece of piano music for each of the 88 constellations (to match the number of keys on a standard piano).
