  • March 10, 2017 My current favorite book

This is currently my favorite book when I want a lush, well written arrangement. While the arrangements are indeed on the advanced side they feel very natural to play. (My goal is to be able to play in Haye's style "from scratch" - without a book. But for now this...

is will more than suffice.) I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite number but I love Arthur's Theme and Days of Wine and Roses. A very rewarding book to have in your collection. I wish Hayes had more secular arrangement books - I believe this is his only one.

This book is well worth the price for the arrangement of Somewhere Over The Rainbow, alone. Just Beautiful. I only wish Mark Hayes would arrange more of these lovely old songs.

This book is full of top arrangements of film classics. The Days of Wine and Roses, Laura and Over the Rainbow are especially fine. It would be difficult to find better arrangemnts of these themes.
