Great series part II
Don't miss the chance to play the duets with the students, and then have more advanced students play with the younger ones. This contains a great deal of variety in starting points and provides a good foundation for timing and hand placement. Suggest that the Blue Dozen a Day will help supplement finger strength and speed, preparing for other pieces to be added. Students under 10 were able to play some of these songs for others to sing along, with significant proficiency, and the work transferred to reading unfamiliar music as well. The idea of finishing books relatively quickly appeals to most, and if you are teaching multiple children in the same families, they love to use the book and see where olders have their dates of completion throughout the book. Great for a homeschooling mom to teach her own children, even with a minimum of experience herself.
