Good music!
These were really nice. One song I was really excited about trying was too “jazzy “ for our small church but the others were great. And one of the books had arrangers in addition to Mark Hayes.

Bound too tight
Mr. Mark Hayes' arrangements are gorgeous as usual. However, the spine on this book is glued together so tightly, you can hardly turn the pages. The photo in this website shows a spiral bound book, which is what I was expecting. Very disappointed.

Nice into to Hayes piano solos
This is my first book of solo piano by Hayes. Im familiar with his choral arrangements used in my church choir and noticed that the accompaniments are often more pianistic in style so I figured Id get this piano solo book. Nice piano assortment of many pieces (18) sacred, spiritual, patriotic and xmas pieces. Love the American Tribute piece and will use for patriotic holidays/services. Some fresh arrangements in this book.

Poor layout
I have enjoyed all of the Mark Hayes books that I own. I enjoy his style and talent. This book is layed out differently and is more difficult to use, not to play but to maneuver. The binding on this book makes it difficult to keep the pages open and does not fully spread to two pages. It also makes the pages more narrow, so the printing is a little different style which makes it more difficult to read the music. I am not pleased with the printing and layout of this book.

I Enjoy the Variety
I've grown to love all of Mark Hayes work. Some of it is too difficult for me to master (I'm a self taught pianist), but I really enjoy this book. I have 4 pieces I've been working on that are so much fun to play...they make me happy. That's the purpose of music don't you think?

Beautiful Collection for Advanced Pianist
This album is lovely. THe more I play it the more I want to play it! Some of the selections are more bluesy than I usually select for our worship service but in the right context they fit well. Most of the works require practice, not really sight-reading material!

Immediately useable
This is a good set of accessible arrangements that can be put to use immediately. The arrangements are tuneful and without a lot of embellishments, like florid arpeggios, that require more advanced technique. The Tribute to America I find useful when I play the piano at the local airport. People often stop and comment on these tunes.
