The Choctaw Bay Music Club of Niceville, Florida commissioned this solo. Florida's nickname is "The Sunshine State," and this piece is sunny through and through. Chromatics and syncopation are highlighted in the melody. The left hand has a staccato, broken-chord accompaniment that is chromatic at times as well. Together, the melody and accompaniment create a piece that is fast and festive.
