This glorious selection from Handel's Messiah is arranged for early advanced piano duet by Roberta Davie. Rhythmic patterns are reiterated throughout this piece in G major, giving the music a continuous drive. The primo part contains many melismatic passages of sixteenth-notes while the secondo part plays the pulsing bass line.

For Unto Us a Child is Born
This joyful piano duet arrangement by Roberta R. Davie has some interesting technical challenges for both players, and the parts are quite evenly balanced. The side by side page layout and large print make following the score very easy and clear. My duet partner and I are seasoned musicians and will enjoy preparing and playing this for church.

fun to play
My intermediate duet partner and I had great fun with this arrangement. We easily sat down and read through it. With a little bit of practice it will become very satisfying for us to play and others to listen to.
