This is a lullaby I wrote. The title and lyrics relate to a story I am writing. The first verse goes:

The day is past and gone;
The stars fade into view.
The sun’s asleep, the moon now at her keep –
And I’ll watch over you.
Let sleep wash over you.

This is a late intermediate piano solo appropriate for recitals or other performances. The first half of the song is simple enough, with moving eighth notes in the left hand. The song then switches to 2/2 and has triplet arpeggios in the left hand. The song is 8 pages long with a playing time of around 5 minutes.
