Concert Transcriptions of Favorite Hymns
I have an old copy of this book copyright date 1942, cost 75 cents. I have used it during these many years to play offertories, or for my own pleasure. It is well worn and well loved. I have had to mend it several times, and today I put the pages in plastic sleeves and a notebook. I was surprised to see it is still in print. I have loved the arrangements.

Good quality song book.
These hymns are wonderful to play for church service. I play them for the offertory. Everyone seems to enjoy listening to them. I also enjoy playing these songs.

Fun to Play
These are inspiring if you like to play hymns like I do. Each piece starts of with a pretty straight forward version of the hymn, then a middle section that fits with the feeling of the hymn and then a third section that features the hymn with expanded accompaniment. The melody in this section is often in the left hand with 16th note chords of triplet chords in the right hand.
