A worthy challenge
This is great music and it is a worthy challenge to learn these pieces. Not for players with small hands, though. A complementary to these transcriptions is E. d'Albert's piano transcriptions of BWV 534, 536, 537, 538, 540 and 541. I know of no modern editions of these pieces, but reprints of old editions can be bought at performersedition.com.

Only option available
I usually avoid non-ustext editions and particularly I tend to avoid Dover Editions, although they have been improving their editions lately. I have got some Ravel from them and it is ok but it is miles away from Henle, eg.In this case, the only option available for the Liszt transcriptions of Bach is Dover - or Budapest Editio, which is impossible to find. Also, the Budapest urtext edition doesn't bring the Fantasy and Fugue, so it's not that complete.Overall, for those interested in these pieces, it's a worthwhile acquisition. However, thumbs down to Sheet Music Plus customer service: that box for requests when placing an order is simply useless, they don't even bother to read it. I have asked many times for the books to be declared as books, which is what they really are. Nonetheless, SMP insists on declaring it as educational music - whatever it means - generating taxes for foreigners costumers. So be aware that you cannot count of their customer service.
