  • February 26, 2004 Kurt Cobain and Steve Albini: What A Duo

This is book is great. In Utero was the best album from Nirvana. While Nevermind has the trademark watery and murky vibe to it In Utero has that raw rock feel. With Steve Albini's help..Kurt,Krist,and Dave were to create one of the most great underated album...

    of all time.

For a nirvana fan this is a pretty good book to have. Honestly, it's best to figure out the songs yourself, that way you actually get much better at guitar, and then buy the book to make sure that you were correct. The album is very fun to play...

especially songs like tourette's and the unit shifter because of limitless improvisation possibilities, actually the whole album sounds better if improvised (but still stick to the original rhythm). Oh yeah! please don't go and buy a rotovibe like it says, the solo on heart-shaped box and other songs are achieved by a flanger.

  • December 01, 2001 The best nirvana book

Unlike the mediocre "Nevermind" book, this is actually a high-quality transcription with no apparent mistakes. When I was first learning guitar, I got a lot out of this book, and in a month or two I was able to learn every song on the CD except "Radio Friendly Unit...

Shifter," which had too much noise and feedback to figure out. Four years later, however, I'm no longer into the band, and this stuff is just far too easy. Deffinitely not a book for experts, unfortunately.
