Finally Sound Like Kurt!
As a Nirvana fan, playing these songs from Nevermind has been so much fun! The intermediate level is challenging enough to keep me engaged but totally achievable with practice. The tablature really helps, and it truly sounds 'like the record' thanks to the note-for-note accuracy. Great for relaxing and jamming out to some grunge. Highly recommended!

Excellent for Intermediate Guitar Students

Valuable Vocal Reference (for Guitar Accompaniment)
While this isn't a piano score, the inclusion of the vocal melody and full lyrics makes it surprisingly useful for vocal coaching. It allows me to show singers how their lines interact with the authentic guitar parts. Understanding the 'note-for-note' guitar transcription helps inform vocal dynamics and phrasing, even without a piano reduction.

Reliable for Gigs & Rehearsals
This book is a solid pickup for any gigging guitarist. The 'note-for-note' transcriptions are spot on for playing Nirvana classics, and having accurate chord names is a huge time-saver for quick charts. It's concise at 64 pages, but includes all the essentials from Nevermind. Essential for getting those requests right, every time.

accurate vs inaccurate
This book does have some mistakes as many texts do: in the song In Bloom my version (which may be pre-revised) shows B5 in the chord and the tab shows Bb5 instead) since the transcriber forgot to change the flats the software automatically puts in the chord. However, the people saying that the bridge in Smells like Teen Spirit is wrong are not correct- the bridge is fine- there are other notes in there (bass) that cover what the guitar is playing. When the bass plays a C the E5 in the guitar part starts to sound like Cmaj7. This is pretty clever harmonically and those that say the music is dead simple don't appreciate the skills that went into this music. These are great songs, well written and the album's production is terrific.
