Celtic Music for Flute & Guitar

I needed a book of ready to play guitar / flute tunes... when I say Ready to Play I mean easily sight read... these are very good, but fast, and though I've played for 50 years, you will need to practice with metronome before working with CD... so the songs...

are good, but it's going to take extra work... I found Hewlitt to be doable after a couple of weeks and the guitar part is so well crafted it could be played as a solo.

Guitar pages have fingering guide but no tabs as stated in description. Out of luck if guitarist doesn't read music.

This is a really nice product and a good value. There's quite a range of music difficulty, from "I can sight read this right now" to "Guess I'll need to work on this piece a bit". The CD accompaniment is very well done and the arrangements are lovely...

. I play both the silver orchestral flute and am learning to play the "D" baroque flute. This collection contains some nice D Major pieces that are suitable for the baroque flute.

These are real duets where both guitar and flute get to play the melody - usually traditional music can be too short for me to enjoy but Allan and Jessica have added interesting variations to the melodies to make them all of a good length. Most are relatively easy to play...

but some of the faster pieces are challenging. The accompanying CD is excellent and inspiring. I would highly recommend this music and CD.
