    This is a great lesson book for the older beginner. My students using this book are 11 and doing very well. Not babyish for the older child, but not too difficult.

    My 10 and 11 year old students are doing very well with this method book. They are excited about learning to play the piano and are progressing very well.

    This book has a wonderful variety of piano pieces. I like how they are not too juvenile, and I think that anyone 9-10 or older can use this book. I would highly recommend it for any student wanting to learn at a moderate pace. I would highly recommend it...

    I teach vocal music at the middle school level, so I have started quite a few piano students aged 12 through 14 with this course. It is faster paced, with pieces that appeal to middle school aged students. I use the performance book, technique book, and popular repertory book from...

  • April 23, 2009 Nice series for the older beginner

    This series moves much more quickly than the usual beginner books. It is nice for students who have some background in another musical instrument and want to add piano skills.
