Composed by Gustav Holst. Arranged by Martin Tucker. Christian,Christmas,Jazz,Sacred. Score. 5 pages. MTM #3236559. Published by MTM (A0.832097).

Gustav Holst's well-loved hymn tune in the style of a lyrical jazz ballad. This arrangement reharmonises Holst's melody and includes variations in an improvisatory style. The piece starts simply and then employs a fuller sound and richer harmony but its quiet and gentle character is preserved throughout. It is suitable for all Christmas occasions whether as a solo piece or as background music. The score has two additional variations on the melody added after the YouTube recording was made, including a variation in the relative minor key. 6 pages (83 bars)
