Disappointed with this book
This was rated late intermediate to early advanced. I had no problem sightreading this music as it was very much just intermediate. I was very disappointed as I felt that the arranger could have done so much more to make it more pleasing and interesting to not only play but to listen to.

I was disappointed with this book. I found the arrangements strange and not congenial. The two blended hymns/songs were not always easily recognizable. It did not seem to me to be the worshipful music I expected.

A good addition to my music library!
I have been playing for almost 30 years, but I haven't been very serious about it for quite some time, since I was in school. Before my husband and I moved last spring, my practice habits consisted mainly of choosing hymns from the hymnal to play for church every two weeks. Since we have moved, I am playing for two churches, alternating weekends. I have become bored to tears with the hymnal and am wanting to brush up on my skills and have more options for services.I ordered this book and have sight-read through about half of it so far without too much trouble. These will be fairly easy to pull together on short notice. I don't know that I would call this level late intermediate - early advanced. It seemed a little on the easy side, and at times a few of the arrangements felt a little bare, but the songs are very pretty.It's very handy that this book is spiral bound, and it's a great value with 33 titles!On the whole, I am happy so far...
