It is a great collection, but on your site it doesn't say where to obtain the accompanying CD for the book. A bit frustrating. I think the CD should accompany the book as a package.

Beautiful addition to solo repertoire
My accompanist introduced me to this book of choral reductions and I am so grateful! Beautiful melodies and rich accompaniment, challenging for both the singer and pianist so better suited to a more advanced or intermediate singer. I love Dan Forrest's choral work and this is the next best thing if you don't have a choir to sing them.

The Must Have Sacred Solo Book!
First some overview, I'm a fairly advanced singer, and my pianist absolutely loves Dan Forrest. He made me purchase this book and I'm so glad he did. Almost every song in this book is amazing, there's one or two that lost some of it's magic in the reduction from a choral piece. But overall, this book is incredible. The songs are beautiful, the lyrics exquisite, and the accompaniments are breath taking. But be warned, these songs are not simple, and are challenging in range and technicality. Forrest's melodies are beautiful, but tend to have jumps and a high enough tessitura to make it really difficult for a new singer. If you're looking into the high version, you should be able to sing High F-A consistently.If you can do it, it's an amazing addition to any collection. I can't recommend it enough! Good luck!
