Excellent
This is a gorgeous setting of an ageless text. It's expressive, beautifully phrased, lush harmonies, and totally engaging. I highly recommend it.

O Love
Stunningly beautiful and moving. This has become the favorite anthem of many in our choir. It fills our hearts as we sing. Thank you, Elaine. I've come to this site to find out what else you have written.

O Love
Stunningly simple and beautiful melody. Elaine Hagenberg is my new go-to composer for pieces with beautiful words and melodies.

The diamond text reset by a master jewler
7 am, cup of coffee, quiet sad morning awaiting 3 funerals of 3 friend's oddly contrasting life expressions of Christ's love to us....and then this gorgeous, exalted setting of O Love, that wilt not let me go.What a blessing. What a life changing gem.The love of Christ manifested to my broken heart....transcendant musicianship flowing with the Holy Spirits power.

Transcendent
Rarely is a piece both exquisitely beautiful and easily executed. The small sections where the soprano and basses split can be easily given to a single singer in small choirs. The accompaniment is not difficult and could be handled by a mature student.

Accessible
Beautifully written-- so accessible to both young and more matured voices. Lots of opportunities to teach phrasing.

Gorgeous
This new work to the words of the hymn, O Love That Will Not Let Me Go, was perhaps the favorite anthem from last year. It was the perfect closing to our Good Friday service. The individual lines are well written and accessible to most average church choirs, and the tune will be stuck in your head (in a good way). Highly recommended.

O Love by Elaine Hageman
What a supremely beautiful setting of one of my favourite hymns. A perfect alliance of words and music - it keeps going round in my head. Great control needed to do it justice but well worth the effort.
