About the Author, Illustrator, and Translator:
Author: Shigenori Kusunoki - Japanese writer of children's literature, born in 1961 in Tokushima Prefecture, Japan. He currently lives in Naruto City. His picture book "Okodemasenyo ni" (Shogakukan) was selected as the subject book for the 2009 National Children's Reading Essay Contest, and in 2011, it was selected for the recommended book list issued by the IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People) Resource Center for Books for Children with Disabilities. He won the 2nd JBBY Award Barrier-Free Division with the same work. His works published in textbooks include "Ee Tokoro" (Gakken), "Fukubiki" (Shogakukan), "Tomodachiya Monna Bokura" (Ehon no Mori), and "Shoujiki 50 En Bun" (Akatsuki Kyoiku Tosho). His works, including "Anata no Ichinichi ga Sekai o Kaeru" (PHP Institute), "Life" (Zuiunsya), and "Watashi ga Hayaku Neru Wake wa ne......" (Shogakukan), have been widely read overseas, totaling over 200 works.
Illustrator: Miho Satake - Born in Toyama Prefecture, Japan. She has worked on illustrations and cover art for many books in the field of SF and fantasy, earning the trust of authors both domestically and internationally. Some of the notable works she has illustrated include the Chinese classics series such as "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "Journey to the West," as well as the "Guardian" series, including "Guardian of the Void," "Guardian of the Blue Route," and "Guardian of the Wind," the "Kiki's Delivery Service" series, the "Jyuunenya" series, the "the Worlds of Chrestomanci" series, and the "Howl's Moving Castle" series, as well as the picture book "Yole no Kuma" and many others.
Translator: Megumi Kamoshida - Born in 1968. Translator. Her translated works include "Tensai Kodomo Kenchikuka, Sekai o Sukuu," "Hae-tachi no Kakusareta Seikatsu," "Shashin ni Nokosareta Zetsumetsu Dobutsu-tachi Saigo no Kiroku" (X-Knowledge), "Uchiorosareta AIDS no Kyosei" (Yodosha), and "Bamboo Clapper" (Read Asia Series by TranNet).
