Composed by Charles Austin Miles. Arranged by Abigail L. Johnson. Christian,Concert,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Standards. Score. 5 pages. Abigail L. Cook #3210973. Published by Abigail L. Cook (A0.864868).

The melody of "In the Garden" begins in the bass cleft accompanied with soft broken chords in the treble cleft.  This piece is quite expressive and each stanza builds to a stirring refrain.  This early advanced hymn arrangement is a full 5 pages in length (approx. 2:36 minutes duration); approx. 1:12 minutes into the piece, there is a key change from C Major to D Major.  "In the Garden" is a timeless hymn, and it is perfect for church performances or recitals throughout the year.  Abigail Johnson is a piano teacher in Pennsylvania, and she enjoys arranging old-fashioned hymn in her own unique style to give them a fresh sound.
