Composed by Elizabeth Borowsky. Concert,Folk,Jazz,Ragtime,Romantic Period. Score. 6 pages. Piano Prodigies #6323523. Published by Piano Prodigies (A0.941666).

What if a piece of music could travel through time? In 2010, the world celebrated Frederic Chopin’s 200th birthday with events and concerts to commemorate "the poet of the piano." I was honored to perform in several events organized by the American Tribute to Chopin committee and I wrote this arrangement of his Mazurka Op. 24 No. 1 as a personal tribute to my favorite composer! This fun piece explores the "upcycling" of melody and structure within a new (modern) harmonic and rhythmic framework that will delight your audience! Try programming it following a performance of the Mazurka as originally written.
