This practical and beautiful setting of the traditional Angelus text is for SATB choir (a cappella) and two cantors (one female, one male). The cantors sing the first two versicles to a Gregorian psalm tone. The choir sings the third to original homophonic music. After each, the choir sings an easy SATB setting of the "Hail Mary / Ave Maria" text. The concluding prayer is sung by cantor and choir. The full text in both English and Latin is set in a singing version.
