Chiquitita (a Spanish term of endearment for a woman meaning little one) by ABBA was released in January 1979 as the first single from their album, Voulez-Vous. It proved to be one of ABBA's biggests hits. It was featured in a 1979 UNICEF charity event, the music for UNICEF Concert, broadcast worldwide from the United Nations General Assembly. Chiquitita hit No. 1 in Belgium, Finland, Ireland, the Nederlands, New Zealand, Spain, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

In my solo piano arrangement for intermediate players, the melody in the R.H. is accompanied with 8th note and 16th note patterns played by both the L.H. and R.H. Another effective arrangement to add to your ABBA collection.
