Sales Tax

In the United States, we are required to collect sales tax on purchases shipped to all states except Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, and Oregon. In Canada and Australia, we are required to collect GST. Sales tax is calculated using the rules for each state. GST is applied to merchandise and shipping where applicable.

Tax-Exempt Organizations:

If you would like to claim tax-exempt status, please follow these steps.

  1. Create an account on Sheet Music Plus first.
  2. Send us an email at receivables@sheetmusicplus.com with the email address on the account created, the organization name, a signed copy of your tax-exempt certificate for the state(s) the items will be shipped.
  3. You will be notified by email if approved. Each time you place an order, you must sign in to your account, and the order must be placed using the name and address as listed on the tax exemption.

If you have already placed an order and were charged tax, please email us with all the information requested in Step 2, along with your order number. When applicable, we will refund the tax charged on your order.

Note: Tax-Exempt Accounts cannot be used for personal purchases. If you would like to make personal purchases, you will need to set up another account.
