This arrangement of Eric Clapton’s beautiful ballad is suitable for players of intermediate level. That is approximately ABRSM Grade 4-5 or above. Each part has melodic interest so that every player is technically and musically challenged and stimulated.

In my recording I have used an electric guitar. The arrangement is also very suitable for classical and acoustic (steel strung) guitar groups. I am mindful to create an arrangement which teachers can use for groups in music schools. The techniques employed mirror those required in the usual pathway of musical and technical development. I am certain that using popular and well-loved music will achieve exactly the same musical and technical results as ‘classical’ repertoire with the added bonus that audiences, parents and pupils alike will find the music exciting, original and motivating.
