These excellent duet arrangements of favourite old carols by Dennis Alexander are enjoyable to play. For advanced pianists, the pieces can be learned quickly and have enough challenges to be interesting. Gesu Bambino was beautiful for Christmas Eve service.

I bought this book because my daughter's piano teacher considered my daughter to be intermediate and we like Dennis Alexander's easier compositions. However, these arrangement were much more advanced than I thought they would be. As a result, my daughter and I haven't played them yet as...

she is not at the level they are written. Eventually, we look forward to trying these pieces. The 4-star rating is because I feel that the level is harder than the book is rated.

The songs in this book are not too difficult for intermediate/advanced players. One part or the other may be a little simpler depending on which songs you play. The arrangements sound good. We enjoyed playing one of the pieces in church for an offeratory.
