I teach first grade beginner through high school intermediate levels. This is my favorite assignment book. I like the categories with plenty of room to write detailed instructions. I also like the teacher comment box where I can write a message to the parent/student. (Anything from "great practicing this...

week" to "one more lesson before recital.") I use the the staff at the bottom to draw a few notes, chords, intervals, key signatures, or even symbols for the student to identify each week. And finally, I like the plastic spiral binding - it's convenient, the pages stay in, and it doesn't catch like the wire spirals do. It's good for all levels.

detailed anstruction, the paper is of good quality, and the number of pages generally covers a year of lessons. The only drawback I find is that some of my students don't refer to it enough as they practice. However, it still helps me to know what each student's assignment was at each lesson.
