The partitas are beautifully printed and stay true to Bach's manuscript. The fingerings are insightful as well!

    Difficulty Level:
  • April 11, 2007 Beautiful edition of Bach

While trying to learn the 2nd Partita I became frustrated by the edition I had from another publisher. The work contained too much editing and clumsy fingering that made learning a difficult work even more challenging. The Henle edition is wonderful. Great paper and binding, clean printing and none of...

the problems I had before with "romaniticized" editing distracting from how I know Baroque music should be performed.
