    I have used the book to introduce reading to both Suzuki and traditional students including adults. I especially like the way the dotted quarter note is introduced in 3/8 and 6/8 timing as three eighth notes, instead of holding for 1 1/2 beats. Makes the transition much...

    easier for counting in duple time. After Methode Rose, I continue with Czerny books for reading. At the end of M. Rose, students have reached the early intermediate level.

    As a Suzuki Piano teacher, I tried two traditional method books for teaching my students to read music before I tried Methode Rose. It is methodical, gives plenty of pages to learn each clef separately before putting them together, naturally teaches interval reading. The expense of the book is worth...
