Composed by African-American Spiritual, unknown composer. Arranged by Bradley Sowash. New Age,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 8 pages. Bradley Sowash #518939. Published by Bradley Sowash (A0.750136).

A favorite refrain from camp and congregational singing, "kum bah yah" is an idiomatic expression from the coastal low country of South Carolina meaning "come by here." While humming it one afternoon, I inadvertently slipped into Were You There When They Crucified My Lord. Melodically, the two hymns seemed compatible, leading me to mix them one into the other for this arrangement.
