  • October 04, 2019 The title kind of threw me off at first.

I love the melody. Always looking for something different from the same old stuff. This will be good for Thanksgiving, Veterans, Memorial Day or any patriotic Sunday. Easy to sight read.

  • March 27, 2009 Quality delivered in time

I was looking for a version of intermediate difficulty of this music suitable for my level. I do not like oversimplified versions. This one was perfect for me. I do not miss quality. Delivery to Europe was relatively short.

  • November 30, 2008 Theme is clear

A nice setting with the theme unornamented. Lots of octaves in the right hand keep it from being too simple. Also known as THAXTED or "O God Beyond All Praising".

  • July 22, 2008 Very welcome arrangement

Also known in the hymn tune version as "Thaxted," this is a wonderful piece. This arrangement of Holst's original is straightforward, with no artsy re-harmonization: just an organ version of the Jupiter (from "Planets") theme, that builds to a strong but not overdone conclusion. I used it for...

July 4th seasonal Sundays, as a change from the wonderful, but usual, American hymns. Somewhere I read or heard that it was much beloved during WWI, especially by the British.

  • June 12, 2008 Kind of Simple

This is a simple arrangement and I wish it were a little fancier. The melody is very beautiful.
