Terrific editing job here. Notes are very readable. All concerti should be packaged in an edition this handsome and useful. This is a classic in all ways.

  • November 19, 2007 Simply Brilliant

Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1 is an my favorite piano concerto ever written. The brilliance in this piece is simply fantastic! However the piece is extremely difficult to master, but still worth your time. Finishing this masterpiece will be one thing that you will never regret in your lifetime...

  • November 12, 2007 A Winning Edition For A Winning Concerto

This is undoubtedly one of my favorite piano concertos ever written, simply because of its amazing lyrical lines as well as its technical difficulty. This edition is by far a substantial edition that will offer everything you need to play this concerto like a pro. It is quite lengthy, at...

nearly a hundred pages (the first movement is half the book!), but it is very fascinating and fun to own even if you can't play it. I have nothing negative to say about this concerto or the edition, so if you're looking to purchase Tchaikovsky's 1st, this is your calling.
