great book
Easy and fun piano lesson book, step up from Level A. Sing along songs are funny and enjoyable for kids to remember what they are learning. Happy about the affordable price so that great to buy theory and other series of books as well to accompany with.

Main Cirriculum of my Piano Studio
I've been teaching piano for over 10 years. The last four years I've been using Alfred's Basic Piano Course as the main curriculum of my studio and I've been very pleased. I've had experience with Bastien and Faber as well, but Alfred continues to be my favorite. I like the simple, uncluttered lay-out of the pages and the pictures are entertaining but not dominating. Each new piece requires more from the student and challenges them towards musical growth, but doesn't move along so quickly as to overwhelm them. I actually remember using a few of these books back when I was a little girl taking piano lessons. Some of my favorite pieces back then were from this curriculum. I would recommend this to any teacher or student of the piano.

My favorite Liabrary of Instruction
I had been teaching myself for 2 years but 6 months ago,I selected a teacher. I have randomly purchased many methods. But starting with Level 1B and six months later, I have added more of Alfred's Basic Piano Liabrary for my chosen instruction. My instructor likes this music group too. I think it is the best for me. I can't say that for everyone but for me--I have found my Liabrary of instruction. Good building blocks interconnected! I hope to move through each level of instruction. I love sheetmusicplus as it pulls up each level in succession. Good way to make selections.
