Original folk-like anthem

Now Available in SSA! This simple meditative song of remembrance makes a moving selection for the observance of the Lord's Supper. The gentle, folk-like melody is accompanied by a transparent piano part and Jay Althouse's original text evokes the images of Eucharist: the bread which is broken, the wine which is poured, and our communion with our Lord. Available in both SATB and SAB.

Brilliant!
I have absolutely loved doing this piece with my choir at church, they liked it too which made it even better! Its a simple melody and was quite easy to put together. Such a wonderful meaning to it. We sang it a communion and will be doing it again on good Friday communion. Absolutely beautiful, I thoroughly recommend!!

Thank you for this piece!!
I used this piece for Maundy Thursday. It is a beautiful communion work that has a meaningful text and is not hard to put together as it has some unison sections. At the end, there is a gorgeous a cappella part that the choir easily keeps on key with octaves that the piano plays occasionally. I highly recommend this piece for Holy Week or as a Communion selection. This is absolutely gorgeous!!!
