Very pleased
My children were asked to play a specific piece for church. I had already purchased a duet they were working on when I came across this arrangement. They have been playing for 6+ years this they were able to learn the piece quickly and it is beautiful especially with the accompanying music. The order came in a timely manner. I greatly appreciate the access to the performance and accompaniment tracks.

Awesome Book
It is not often that you find a music book that does not have some piece (or two) that you don't care for but, not this book. There is not one piece in this book that I don't really love.

Great Book, but Needs Tuning Track
This is a wonderful book and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing the arrangements of these hymns. I wish they had a tuning track, as I use my tuner, but then my open strings don't match up with their A's and D's, etc. It takes a while to adjust to their pitch. Otherwise, wonderful product, and I LOVE the accompaniment CD.

Praise Him!
This is an EXCELLENT compilation! The song selection is varied with beautiful yet simple renditions. The ability to hear /play along AND to play as a soloist with piano accompaniment exceeded my expectations! I will certainly purchase other works by this lovely mother/daughter duo.

lovely
These are lovely arrangements recalling sweet memories of growing up Baptist. In fact, I put the play along CD into my music mix simply to feed my soul.The arrangements themselves aren't for beginners: tempo changes, rapid fingerings and 3rd and 4th position.If, however, you are a player used to jamming, you may improvise and obtain quite satisfactory results. If you are a beginner, you need not shy away from the arrangements. The higher registers may easily be dropped down an octave.I give this one an enthusiastic 5 stars.

Really Great Book
I have really enjoyed this book. The violin part is not too difficult, some shifting but it's not hard, I would say intermediate. The piano part is more challenging, probably late intermediate to advanced. It is hard finding arrangements for church that give both the violin and the piano interesting and beatiful parts, this book does that very well.

Basic melodic pieces
The pianist works a lot harder than the violinist here. The piano has the showier part for these pieces; the violin part stays pretty basic and melodic. As far as skill level, I would say the piano is advanced intermediate, and the violin is early intermediate, except for the Old Rugged Cross duet which might be a bit more difficult.

Praise . . . With Stringed Instruments
Very nice arrangements - also enjoyed having the option for several pieces to play as duets. Just received the book and have only had the chance to play one piece, The Old Rugged Cross. I transposed one of the duet parts for cello for my son and I to play at a senior's centre mini-concert using the recorded piano accompaniment.Highly recommend this book and am looking forward to using the other pieces in the future in worship services.

Beautifully arranged!
Creative arrangements and perfect for performance! I also love that the piano portions are not just a lame accompaniment... They are sensitively written to harmonize along side the violin as a true duet. Wonderful!

More than expected
I bought this music after listening to the sound sample of the first piece, thinking that if the other pieces were as well-written, the price would be worth it. Well, this collection exceeded my expectations. The included CD is now in my car for personal listening, and the actual pieces themselves have inspired me to play more special music at church. The violin part is not a simple hymn statement, but a true development of each theme, and the piano parts are thoughtfully composed. Great Buy!
