This movement is the second of five dance portraits commemorating the Southern Academy of Ballet Arts (S.A.B.A.) and its performing company, Pas de Vie, of Tallahassee, Florida. It was composed in 1994 especially for their co-founder and co-director Charles Hagan to play on pianos tuned for his newly launched business, C. H. Piano Service, based in Tallahassee and St. George Island, Florida. With something of a "Schroeder-like," winning charm, this short piece aims to be playable by the amateur pianist.
