Clarinet,Piano - Digital Download

SKU: A0.977045

Composed by Paul SanGregory. Contemporary. Score and part. 18 pages. Distant Engraver Music #4631901. Published by Distant Engraver Music (A0.977045).

This melancholy and atmospheric piece makes much use of the clarinet’s lyrical expressiveness. The tempo is often flexible, with moods and characters ranging from slow delicate wistful phrases to faster, more determined and passionate exclamations. The title relates both to slow blues and piano nocturnes. This is because the melodic outlines of the clarinet are sometimes reminiscent of the blues, but the accompaniment has more in common with nocturnes. Even though neither of these styles is directly quoted or copied, people familiar them should be able to recognize their presence.

Performance time is ca. 7:30.

The single download file includes both the full score and clarinet part.
