This is a perfect piece for a student fresh out of highschool looking to challege their skills. This is also an extremely fun piece with both slow and fast parts. There are a few strange key signatures however so beware of that.

While not that technically challenging, I rate this piece as advanced because this piece is hard to play well musically, and can be really expressive. This edition is beautiful, and on nice tan paper, which is always a plus. The only thing that I would say is that it should have been made three pages laying next to one another, and not the page turn.

Osborne's Rhapsody for clarinet solo is one wonderful piece of music. I would note that it was originally written for Bassoon, but the clarinet is even better, though it does not, I think, quite capture the Eastern sound that the bassoon excels in with this piece. It is not very technically challenging, but dynamic contrast is vast and musical expression is (or should be) prominent. The high register of the Clarinet is hardly tapped into, and there are few fast passages in it, though enough to make for some practice. A favourite part of mine: the cadenza-like solid run in the latter half of the piece. The edition is very nice, on brown paper, which I always like. Serious about the Clarinet? I recommend this piece highly.
