SKU: BZ.ENMS-84078

Composed by Akira Toda. Chamber Music. Ensemble. Score & parts. Duration 4:40. Bravo Music #ENMS-84078. Published by Bravo Music (BZ.ENMS-84078).

Greensleeves Fantasy was premiered by the euphonium tuba ensemble group "Tubium" as an anchor piece of that concert. It was written for two euphoniums and two tubas using the famous title theme, and has been re-edited and published in this form. The theme can be heard throughout the piece, although its style changes gradually with the accompaniment. It starts lyrically and moves to swing style. Moderato should be played steadily, and at the end, stately. A few passages are technically challenging and could be rehearse at a slower tempo until they are precise. At rehearsal [55] it would be more exciting if the 1st euphonium player improvises. It would be best to perform this quartet with the character and uniqueness of a unified ensemble.
