Composed by Akira Toda. Chamber Music. Ensemble. Score & parts. Duration 4:40. Bravo Music #ENMS-84113. Published by Bravo Music (BZ.ENMS-84113).

This work was completed in 2005 as a commission by the Euphonium Tuba Ensemble "Tubium" based on the impression of visiting the Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Park, which are also symbols of Hiroshima City.

As I visited the Peace Park, it was very quiet and calm. It felt unbelievable that the atomic bomb was dropped here and the situation was so tragic, but in this way I regained peace. I was deeply moved by the struggles of the survivors, which cannot be expressed in words.

I intended to extract the "peace" and laid it out in my work. It flows gently from beginning to end, wishing for the arrival of true peace.
The premiere was performed by the ensemble on April 18, 2006 at the Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall Small Hall. Later, this was revised as a concert band work.
(Akira Toda).
