Insightful for Understanding Piano Parts
While not a dedicated vocal accompaniment book, this collection offers valuable insights into the piano texture of these classical pieces. The 'Easy Piano' arrangements effectively capture the essence, allowing a vocal coach to understand the underlying harmonic structure and pianistic challenges. It's a useful pedagogical tool for students, helping them grasp the piano's role, even if the voicings are simplified from original works.

Handy for Quick Study, Not Primary Gig Material
As a gigging musician, I found this collection good for quickly refreshing memory on classical themes. The 'Easy Piano' arrangements are straightforward, making them quick to learn. However, these are simplified piano solos, so don't expect chord symbols for improvisation. It's useful for light background gigs or casual requests, but for more intricate performances, I'd reach for original or more comprehensive arrangements.

Good collection of classical beginner/intermediate
Good collection of classical beginner/intermediate pieces. The notes are big, thus requiring more pages.
Some arrangements are better than others. |

First Classical 50 Pieces for Piano
Great for Beginners (Intermediate Level Players would probably find the simplified arrangements too easy) ; large notes and short pages make things less intimidating for Beginners

Great collection but simplified too much!
As a piano teacher, I was hoping for arrangement of famous classical solos I could teach my students. I was disappointed that songs were way too simplified and not the original versions and greatly shortened. Had I been able to review more than a couple of pages online I would have realized this. I only found 3 titles I felt were useful out of the collection of 50. However, the music notes are big so beginners won't feel intimidated by so many notes.

Just what I wanted
I have a number of Easy level classical books and I really like this one. The song choice is interesting. They simplify the pieces so you can immediately play them and it works. The book pointed me to pieces I didn't know about which was a plus.
