Really Learn to Read
This is an excellent method for adults. It starts from the very beginning yet moves quickly enough to be challenging and satisfying. My students learn to read quickly and make the connection from keyboard to staff through intervals. I recommend this book over more popular methods because I believe in interval learning and use Frances Clark for my kids. The only negative of the book is the two-book layout, but it's not bad enough to be a great method.
