This sermon song duet is based on a sermon preached by Dr. Paul de Jong at First Presbyterian Church, Fort Myers, Florida,on September 17, 2023. The sermon was entitled, " Who is This ?" based on Mark 4:35-5:20. My song is told from the view point of the disciples who were in awe of what they saw as Jesus calmed the seas and cast out demons into a herd of swine from a man who was possessed. The disciples, at this point in the Gospel of Mark, were being taught by Jesus directly while the masses got parables. But they still did not know really who Jesus was. The duet stresses their confusion of exactly ," Who is He ?" It has a haunting melody to express how the disciples must have felt. My SERMON SONGS are a new genre in religious music in which I take sermon notes and turn them into notes in scores which I hope will be sung in places of worship everywhere.
