Vírgenes del Sol (Virgens of the Sun), composed by Peruvian composer and pianist Jorge Bravo de Rueda (1895 – 1940), is probably the second best-known Peruvian song worldwide after "El Cóndor Pasa". It was covered by dozens of interpreters, among others Yma Súmac, Los Calchakis, and Los Chacos.
In 2009 the song was declared National Cultural Heritage.
