The New International Edition of Suzuki Piano School, Volume 1 includes French, German and Spanish translations as well as a newly recorded CD performed by internationally renowned recording artist Seizo Azuma. Now the book and CD can be purchased together or separately. While the music selections in Volume 1 remain the same as the earlier edition, the spacious new engraving with minimal editing generally keeps only one piece per page. Instruction material in many pieces from Volume 1 has been removed in lieu of right-hand studies at the top of the page and left-hand studies at the bottom. Tempo markings are now included on many pieces.

Suzuki piano School, Volume 1
I am a certified Suzuki piano teacher and enjoyed teaching children these pieces over 10 years. They thrive on learning the many techniques to build piano skills from good legato to the ability to play accurate rhythmic passages with ease. They thrive on accomplishing a new piece and improving them over time.

SUZUKI PIANO METHOD
Suzuki piano books are used by students under the guidance of a professionally trainer Suzuki teacher.It is obvious that the previous reviewer was venting a personal prejudice towards the method.Many professional pianists began study of piano using earlier editions of this book. I don't believe their career was damaged by playing twinkle.

Violinplaying on the piano ?
On page first we see already how bad this method is : repeating notes ( easy on a violin )should be done on the piano !The first song (twinkle twinkle little star) is deformed by composer Suzuki .The poor children have to listen to this nonsense on a CD ( Mozart used this song in the Ah vous dirai je maman variations but perhaps he was a better composer ? )
