A powerful and suggestive hymn for mixed Choir (with Soli) and Organ up to 8 voices and all the available colours of Organ stops and harmonies. Composed in 2007 for the International Competition for Sacred Composition of Diocesi di Faenza - Modigliana, this wide breathed piece is the first of a couple of hymns in honor of S. Apollinare and is very suitable for Choir Concerts, expecially in the Church and for liturgical pourpose. It's majestic and articulated and explores the various possibilities of wide Choir and well fournished Organ together with solo - voices and smooth and coloured chord grouping. One of the pourpose is that the accompaignement is not only a simple harmonic sustain but a richer one (almost like an orchestral one), which dialogues with Choir part.

Stefano Maria Torchio is an Italian Violinist, Composer and Orchestra and Choir Conductor born in Padova. He builded his education between the Conservatories of Padova and Vicenza, the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, the Accademia "L. Perosi" in Biella, the "R. Romanini" Foundation in Brescia and the University of Music and performing Arts in Vienna.
