The publication of separate editions of the two early piano sonatas (EB 6001/EB 6003) came at the end of the Brahms anniversary year 1997 and closes a gap in our series of single piano editions. Ulrich Mahlert revised the text of the Brahms Complete Edition and discovered some minor errors which he corrected for this reprint.
