Der Erstdruck der zweiten Fassung kam 1891 bei N. Simrock in Berlin heraus. In der Gesamtausgabe Johannes Brahms: Samtliche Werke hrsg. von der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde Wien wurden im Band ,,Klaviertrios beide Fassungen gleichrangig veroffentlicht.
