Composed by Heller Nichols. Sheet Music and Books. A wonderful collection of children's tunes from German speaking countries by Heller Nicholls. Suggested grade 2-3. Classical. Collection. Forsyths Publications #FNH07. Published by Forsyths Publications (FP.FNH07).ISBN 9790570502295.
A wonderful collection of children's tunes from German speaking countries, inspired by the famous 19th Century rhymes by H. Hoffmann about really 'bad' (as opposed to goody two shoes type) children - including Struwelpeter, a boy who would not have his hair and nails cut for a whole year.
British composer (William) Heller Nicholls (1874-1939) was born in Derbyshire, but latterly lived in Gloucestershire, and was a music master at Dean Close School near Cheltenham. One of his pupils there was the poet James Elroy Flecker. Nicholls was a prolific arranger, and writer of educational music, but also wrote light opera and orchestral music.
